David “Shorty” Boyer - # 33 Senior Forward
David returns to the program after a year away from the sport. His size will make him a good rebounder and he runs the floor well. We welcome him back to the team and hope that his senior season is a memorable one. |
Tim Devanney - #3 Senior Guard Tim has contributed on both sides of the court since his freshman season. He is already a 1000 point scorer and is looking for more. He has terrific speed and quickness and can jump out of the gym. We congratulate Tim on his selection as last year’s Daily Item Co-MVP in basketball and for his all-star selection this year as part of the record-setting Wildcat football team. |
Kyle Heimbach - #21 Senior Guard
Kyle is a spark plug for the Wildcats. His energy is contagious and he is a quiet leader. He works hard; in games and in practice. He sat in the wings last year behind league MVP, Brad Musser, but during that time gained valuable experience in practice. Kyle has put a lot of effort and dedication into the sport in the past few off-seasons and is reaping the rewards this year. Kyle is to be commended for his outstanding play on this year’s championship football squad. |
Zac Kurtz - #4 Senior Guard/Forward Zac is the Wildcat’s most versatile player. His size allows him to bang inside while his athleticism and poise make him an accomplished point guard. He shoots the ball well and everyone in Mifflinburg knows he can complete a pass. We congratulate Zac on his all-star selection this year as part of the record-setting Wildcat football team. |

Adam Kreisher - #23 Senior Guard
Adam is perhaps the Wildcats’ most improved player. He shoots the ball very well and has become a solid defender. Adam knows the system well and is a perfect fit at the ‘3′ position, taking the place of 2002 senior standout - Cody Stahl. Adam became a team leader this fall, bringing the Wildcats into the preseason as many of the other seniors were still involved in football. Congratulations to Adam on a great career as a Wildcat. |
V. Manuel Medina - #40 Senior Guard Manuel returns to the program after a year away from basketball. He can play the 2, 3 and 4 positions and is a solid defender. |
Tristan Roupp - #35 Senior Guard/Center The Cats welcome back Tristan, “the smallest big-man in the league.” Trey is a defensive force due to his quick hands, ability to anticipate and rebounding skills. He has also become an offensive threat in the Wildcats open style of play. |
Mark Cresswell - #22 Junior Guard Mark fits the Wildcat style of play. His speed and quickness make the Wildcats’ fast break go. These attributes also make him a defensive stopper and a valuable part of the press. |
Heith Derr - #42 Junior Guard/Forward Heith is the Wildcats’ workhorse. His hustle and defensive efforts are very valuable to the team’s success. From taking the charge to getting the deflection, Heith will do whatever it takes. On the offensive end, he has good range and great rebounding instincts. |
Jeremiah Long - #45 Junior Center Jeremiah is a greatly improved player from a year ago. He is now a formidable center in this area and will be a tremendous inside offensive threat for the Wildcats. His size makes him a defensive force as well. |
Jeff Ruhl - #24 Junior Guard Jeff is a much stronger player and athlete than he was one year ago. His efforts in the off-season, along with some more confidence, makes him a much improved player. Jeff can run the point and will run the floor well at the 2 or 3 position. |
Mike Shearer - #50 Junior Forward Mike is a physical player with good shooting range. He has played a lot of basketball over the years and is steadily improving. Mike is working hard to get back into shape after knee surgery at the end of last year’s season. Off the court, Mike’s studying academics and hopes to attend college and major in history education or business administration. He is a member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, where he participates in the youth group.
